A 21-Year Window Film Story
More than two decades ago, Joe installed Hüper Optik Ceramic 30 on this Cumming homeowner’s floor-to-ceiling west-facing windows. The film delivered exactly what it was meant to deliver: meaningful heat rejection, UV protection for carpet and furniture, and lower air-conditioning costs.
After 21 years, the original film adhesive was beginning to fail. That is a natural end to an exceptional service life — and a real-world example of how long premium window film can perform.
The Warranty Was Honored
Hüper Optik honored the manufacturer warranty and supplied the replacement Ceramic 30 film at no charge. Sungate carefully removed the aged film, prepared the glass, and installed the new material for labor only.
The replacement gives this homeowner a fresh start with the same high-performance ceramic protection on the windows that have faced the strongest afternoon sun for more than two decades.
Key highlights of the project:
- 21 years of proven heat rejection, UV protection, and energy savings
- Manufacturer warranty fully honored after more than two decades
- Professional removal of aged film and clean re-installation
- Replacement Ceramic 30 film supplied at no charge
- Father-and-son installation team delivering consistent quality across generations
What the Homeowner Said
“Over 20 years ago Joe, owner of Sungate came and tinted these floor to ceiling west facing windows in my house - the film was manufactured with German technology and it prevented my carpet, furniture from fading besides the huge savings on Electricity / Air Conditioning costs! After all these years some of the windows had to be replaced and I decided to call Joe to see what he could do with this project.
I was pleasantly surprised when Joe got the film replaced by the manufacturer FREE OF CHARGE and once again removed the old film and install the new one for a very reasonable price that was his Labor charge only.
Joe and his son Evan did an outstanding job in finishing this work with dedication and complete professionalism. The rooms were left spotlessly clean and I would very confidently recommend Joe for any Windows Tinting work that you may have. I am certain that you will be very pleased by what this Father and Son duo will deliver!”
