Home Window Tinting in Dawsonville, GA – Great Room Heat, Glare & Fade Protection
Extreme sunlight through upper great room windows made this Dawsonville home uncomfortable to use. ProLayers Soft Tone 24 solved the heat, glare, and floor fading — same day.
The Problem: A Great Room You Couldn't Use
This Dawsonville home had a stunning great room with tall arched windows — the kind of architectural feature that makes a house feel special. But the direct sunlight pouring through those upper windows had turned the space into a problem.
At certain times of day, it was simply uncomfortable to sit in the room. Watching TV was nearly impossible due to glare. And the wood floors were already showing early signs of fading — a slow but expensive form of damage that only gets worse over time.
The homeowner needed a solution that would protect the floors, eliminate the glare, and make the great room usable again — without sacrificing the natural light that made the space beautiful in the first place.
The Solution: ProLayers Soft Tone 24
We installed ProLayers Soft Tone 24, a high-performance solar control film that delivers excellent all-around results for exactly this type of situation.
Here's what it does:
- Blocks 99% of UV rays — the primary cause of floor fading, furniture damage, and artwork deterioration
- Rejects 49% of direct heat — significantly reduces the solar load coming through the glass
- Reduces overall heat gain by 83% — the room stays dramatically cooler during peak sun hours
- Provides 72% glare reduction — TV viewing and daily use restored
The tall arched windows required ladder work throughout the installation. Every pane was covered with precision — no shortcuts, no missed sections.
The Result
The great room is now far more comfortable and fully usable. The glare that made TV watching impossible is gone. The heat that made the space uncomfortable during the day has been dramatically reduced. And the wood floors are now protected from the UV radiation that was slowly destroying them.
